Product Description:

Stellar Phoenix HP Unix is a remarkably effective application that assists Unix users in successfully recovering lost data from the JFS (VxFS) file system of the HP-UNIX operating system.

Generally data loss in the HP-Unix system is caused by corrupt Super Blocks, defective Inode structures, Cylinder group errors, corrupt LVM and/or faulty OLT (Object Location Tables). In the majority of these occurrences the FSCK is incapable of recovering the damaged file structure and the data seems to be forever lost.

Stellar Phoenix HP UNIX incorporates an easy-to-use, automated and friendly wizard that will gently guide you through the 3 step recovery process, the steps include:
Evaluation – Locates and identifies the device and partitions on the faulty disc and then evaluates and compiles then into an informative list.
Analysis – Thoroughly scrutinizes the faulty disc data area and the remains of the file structure and recognizes the expedient path for file and directory recovery.
Recovery – Compiles all recoverable files and directories and displays the data in a tree structure for you to select the files and directories that you would like to recover.
